Before we accept and offer watches, they are inspected by our master watchmaker & vintage watch experts and only then released for an offer
Yes, we do not accept replica or fake watches as we only deal in original timepieces. We have also introduced a price limit of at least €1,500.00. Offers below this limit are not economically viable for either our customers or us and cannot cover the necessary costs. If you are unsure whether your watch meets our criteria, we are happy to provide you with a non-binding assessment.
The duration of the sales process can vary. Some watches are sold within a few hours via our network, even before they appear on our website. Other watches take several weeks or even months, depending on demand, model and pricing. The attractiveness of the watch and a market-based price are crucial for the selling time. We would be happy to advise you on how to optimize your sales opportunities.

After we have checked your watch, you will receive an assessment of the technical condition as well as a non-binding estimate of the selling price based on the current market conditions and the condition of your watch.
Only then do you decide whether we should take over the sale for you as a full service. We jointly set a minimum price.
No agreement on a sales price range?
In this case, there is a one-off fee of 49.00 euros (including VAT) for our preliminary work (inspection & assessment).
Takeover of the sale by us:
If you commission us to sell, we will take over the entire sales process. You will receive the sales price achieved - which may be higher than the minimum price - less our brokerage commission of usually 15%.

What costs are incurred by the buyer?"" The buyers only pay the price of the watch. If they decide to have recommended repairs carried out in our certified workshop, they bear the corresponding repair costs themselves. This investment can be worthwhile, as professional refurbishment increases the value of the watch and buyers receive a 12-month guarantee on the work carried out. In addition, a tested and overhauled watch significantly increases the (re) sales opportunities and creates additional trust when purchasing. Payments always take place before the watch is handed over. The buyer can check the watch carefully before payment. Payments can be made in cash, by Girocard or an instant bank transfer.
Our master watchmakers check every single watch for its authenticity and functionality. We are certain that we have not found any evidence of a non-genuine watch among the watches we offer. If there is even the slightest doubt, we refuse to include the watch!

When selling under power of attorney, we are obliged to determine ownership of the watch. The owner must therefore legitimize himself with a valid identity card or passport.
If you decide to sell your watch via LuXchange, you must go through the KYC (Know Your Customer) process. To do this, we need the following information:

✅ Scan of your identity card or passport
✅ Your signature
Approval to sell usually takes 3–5 business days. First, we thoroughly check your watch and create a market and price assessment, which we coordinate with you. As soon as you release the price target, the sales process can begin. We strive to make this process as quick and smooth as possible.
No, you don't have to! You can have your watch cleaned and, if necessary, polished for an extra charge (price depending on the effort). The better the condition, the higher the chance of selling!
As soon as your watch arrives, it goes through a structured inspection process:
1. Digital check-in – Your watch is recorded and documented.
2. Diagnosis & Assessment – A detailed inspection of the technical condition takes place.
3. Result & Recommendation – Based on the diagnosis, we give an assessment of possible service or repair recommendations.
4. Price assessment – We determine the market value taking into account the current condition and market situation.
5. Report by e-mail – You will receive all the results as well as our price assessment by e-mail so that you can think about it at your leisure.
We only start the sales process after you have given your consent.
We determine a price recommendation through industry knowledge and detailed research methods.
The KVA (cost estimate) is the price for the recommended repairs to the watch if you decide to have them carried out by our internal workshop.
Absolutely. Our price recommendation is only a recommendation. The seller always sets his price.
We will always suggest a realistic price based on market factors and experience. If the seller decides that he does not agree with our recommendation, he can set his own price.
The minimum price is the minimum for which we will sell the watch. We will never sell a watch below this price without asking the seller.
If a buyer makes us an offer at the minimum price, we will sell them the watch.
Absolutely. If we can't sell your watch within a certain period of time, you can take your watch back.
We would only have to settle the outstanding invoices for the KVA or the polishing and cleaning.
In order for us to sell your watch on your behalf, we need your signature on the power of attorney. Your identification is required for legal reasons related to 'Know Your Customer' and 'Anti-Money Laundering' legislation.

Once the power of attorney has been signed and your minimum price has been set, we photograph your watch to present your watch in the best possible light.
You can list your watch with us until it is sold.
If you want to remove your watch from our website, you can do so at any time and we will take the necessary precautions.
Buying Process
Once you have found a watch that you want to buy, you can make an offer. Once the offer is approved, one of our employees will contact you directly to make the final preparations for shipping.
Yes, you just have to click on the ""Make offer"" button and fill out the required fields.
You will receive a rejection message. You can then either increase your offer or hope that the seller reduces his price expectations. If a seller reduces his price expectations and your original offer is met, we will contact you directly to find out whether you would like to proceed with the sale.

No. As we only facilitate a peer-to-peer transaction between 2 individual parties as an intermediary, we cannot accept returns.
As watches are purchased in a peer-to-peer transaction, we cannot offer a guarantee. However, we can offer a 12-month warranty on all work carried out by a certified workshop.
Yes, we check every single watch on our website. You will be fully informed about all You will be informed about all technical or superficial defects of your new watch. In the event of loss, the insurance sum will be settled with the insurance company / Unfortunately not in the event of damage! We recommend that you pick up the watch at our location and get to know our watch manufactory! Essen-Kettwig and UHRKRAFT are worth a trip!
Payment and Commission
We take a commission of 15% of the selling price. However, if we sell the watch for more than 20% above the agreed minimum price, we take 20% commission.
If the attempt to sell at the agreed minimum price is unsuccessful, a flat fee of 3.5% of the original minimum selling price plus VAT will be charged. Minimum amount: €250.00 plus VAT if 3.5% is less than that.
Compensation for expenses:
This lump sum covers our services already provided, such as market assessment, advertisements and sales efforts. The exact amount is calculated individually based on the set minimum price.
After the sale is complete and all papers are filled out, you will receive your money by bank transfer directly to your account.
Shipping and Delivery
Best to bring it in person if possible! If shipping is necessary, insured with UPS / FEDEX and tracking

Of course! Watch repairs and overhauls are our daily business. We repair and overhaul approx. 1,500 watches annually and are one of the well-known master watchmaker workshops in the Essen/Düsseldorf area (+50 km radius). Through our certified workshop, we offer you professional maintenance, repairs and overhauls for your watch - regardless of whether it is a sale, a value retention or a restoration. We would be happy to advise you on the possible repair measures and create an individual offer for you.
A firm reservation is unfortunately not possible. However, if you have a serious interest in a watch, we can make a short-term note until the viewing appointment on site. However, please note that an interim sale is reserved at any time. We therefore recommend that you act quickly if you have found a watch that you like
